Jeni and I have just returned from Winter (spring) retreat. We took the Youth Group to a place about 45 minutes from our church called Otter Creek. We had a log cabin reserved on the Ohio River. The trip was planned to be an over all focus on the Glory of God and his control in our life.

We talked about the general concept of Cat and Dog Theology... and focused on how we relate to our Master. "God". The deeper we looked into the scripture the more we talked about how we often as "self focused" Christians only read half the truth. Not that we would intentional do this rather we read such things as Romans 8:28 and say sure every thing has a purpose , but we forget that those things make us more like Christ. Or what about the 46th chapter of Psalms "Be still, and know that I am God;___________________________, _________________________________.

Sure we all look at this scripture and say when things are going crazy, or we do not have answers to all the events of our life we just need to be still, yes, but the idea is not the peace of God rather He will be exalted among all people if we will trust in his will.
Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
