We enjoyed our first US vacation. Many of you will remember that our December wedding in 2005 was a bit cold in SC, and the time that Jeni and I got to spend on our "honeymoon" was short because of my UPS job. While all of that is now behind us and I no longer work 3rd shift. We decided to take a week to just enjoy some alone time. We were very lucky to spend our time in the beautiful state of South Carlina on Hilton Head Island. The weather was amazing, and allowed us to enjoy the beach, a day of kayaking on the sound there @ Hilton Head. We had an amazing anniversary dinner at the Red Fish. (the restaurant is an absolute must if you ever visit the area) We also enjoyed the beach, who would have guessed December and building a sand castle off of Coligny Court while Jeni read and book and took in the SUN.

COMPUTERS: Most of the world has become so dependent up on computers, but after the past few weeks I think its time to live with out one.... As I had said with the last post we were having some computer problems. Well Thanks to Jeni's brother DK Hardin we have a new hardrive in our laptop that is allowing me to type this blog on our laptop once again.

We had a great vacation on the wonderful Hilton Head Island, and even took a road trip to Savannah Ga. Wow that City is full of history. - I promise that I will give you some pictures soon, of our vacations, but I have not successfully installed all the drivers (computer programs) that control all the items on this computer so I can not use all the nice fancy things I have on this blog in the past. (Will included more about Vacation and Pictures when I can)

We did have a great 24 Hours in Greer SC with Jeni's Family - we had dinner with every family member except Jeni's Nana - (Yes Jessi brought a boy) the table was full....... We had a great evening opening presents @ Keith's house and I had the best time of all listening to Jeni and her siblings wrestle and laugh at each other all night.

Jeni enjoyed shopping with her Dad (a Christmas tradition for her) and then we had a very good Lunch by the famous chef Jane Hardin - after the easter bunny brought our gifts.

We are 2 Days away from our vacation >>>>

Hilton Head Island is the plan for our weeks vacation... Jeni and I are leaving after Church Sunday and on our way to SC to spend a week walking the Beach riding bikes and enjoying all the great places to Eat.

Today we are having all the youth over for the Youth Christmas Party, and we will have the WHITE Elephant game going on. They are all very excited, and who wouldn't be its Christmas.

Sunday is our ONE Year anniversary - Yes I have made it 52 weeks and Jeni hasnt killed me yet. I guess I have done something right. (Interject Jeni "It has been Wonderful I can't imagine life with out my sweet DB")

HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT?

I can't believe this, but it is actually true. Try it!!!!!!! This will bring a smile to your face....
How smart is Your Right Foot?

This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And you will keeptrying at least 50 more times to see if you can out smart your foot, but you can't.While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with yourright hand. Your foot will change direction.I told you so...And there's nothing you can do about it. If you sayyou did it...

YOU'RE LYING to YOURSELF ... because it CAN'T BeDONE... the Mind is stronger then the foot..!

Make sure you pass this on to your friends...they won't be able to believe it either!!

Were they WISE MEN.....
"if they had brought sugar, soap, and candles they would have acted like wise men" Why does a carpenters Son need such fancy gifts?

Who were the magi and what did the gifts really matte
r.

There is a great meaning in the Gifts that the Magi brought and a prophecy of Jesus life in their symbolism.

(Read more ideas about this Christmas
story in my Bible Study under resource websites)

The Christmas season has given Jeni and I the opportunity to say inside and watch more movies (she hates the Cold) - the List of Christmas movies have been stacked up for months and months. Jeni if you did not know Loves Christmas, and I wonder who knows her favorite MOVIE of the season. She has rented several from Blockbuster, and we have been looking for the CW to be running something good. But we only have 2 channels. So most of our TV Fun comes from DVD and Old VHS tapes.

I am out of School and reading lots, I started building several Bible Studies, and even started working on some Classical Novels. The break is treating me very well.

Good Golly Miss Molly - Its Monday..... It was a ridicules 16 degrees (but felt like 9) here in the wonderful Kentucky area.

I took out the trash last night because I knew there was no way I wanted to get out early this morn.... but I did start the car for Jeni so she would find her way to work on time.
What is so Special about this time of Year and What do you believe about Christmas. With our Youth Group we have started looking at the true meaning of Christmas. What is the Incarnation about. Who was Jesus Christ and why is it important to believe in the Biblical Incarnation. - I will be working on the following ideas and posting them on my Bible Study page.

CHRISTMAS @ THE WRIGHT HOME

Saturday was a lazy day Jeni and I didn't get up till 830 and then we started on the Christmas spirit. It started with the tree, as I began to put lights on the tree we discovered we didnt have enough so we had to make the long drive to a Walmart to buy more, while there we did some other shopping. Including Eggnog. Jeni bought the theme paper that wrapped all the presents under the tree. (there is a great theme even though the picture only shows red paper...)

We watched Rudolph the Red noes Raindeer, and a few other movies throughout the day. The House is completely finished - (well all except the office) I have not gone in after finals... I need to clean it up.

Schools out Schools out -

Well I am sorry for the gap in our
blog but this past week was finals @ the Great Southern Seminary. One
class had a take home exam which was just typing up questions, and handing
in, but I had one class that I just simply had
no idea what he would ask for on the exam. Jeni was very supportive,
while
I stayed locked in my office studying. She rented a bunch of sappy
movies and watched TV. The rigor of yet another semester was finished
on Tuesday.

Wednesday
I had my first day to just rest. I worked up some deer meat that a
friend had given us and started some BBQ for supper. (yes Jeni likes
dear meat) Washed and Waxed Jeni's Car for the Winter. As you know I
have Youth Group on Wed. night so I finished up the lesson on the
Incarnation.

Thursday the weather was just perfect mid 60's gave to shorts and a Tshirt
and the washing and waxing of my Car. IT was funny as I went through the Line @ Walmart with CarWax
and Christmas lights (well it was a funny combination to me) Even if I
didn't get a tan while putting the wax on my Car it has a good winter
Coat to help with all the Salt it is likely to see the next few months.

So FRIDAY - The Break has started: I have taken to the couch, watching
God's and Generals while working on the computer. Today does not have
any thing big planned, other than the reading of War and Peace by Leo
Tolstoy. I do have hopes of completing this historical work over the break.
